over? I have tried to see exactly what to do with these plants now but can’t see any proper info. I can bring in but it will be warm in the house. Some articles say cover does that mean they should be in the dark all winter or on a windowsill?
Every article I read said to discard them after spring flowering, they won't flower again. If you want to try, give it filtered light as through a sheer curtain. (You don't need to cover it.) It needs a cool environment so put it in the coolest part of your home, such as 16 degrees C. It needs to be moist but not wet, and well drained.

I thought that was a clear question.

I received tiny orchid seeds as a gift. Don't know the details about them. I am asking for direction with regard to what is the best soil medium to plant these little seeds in to start their growth. All of the "Orchid Soils" I can find at Amazon, et. al., seem to be composed of larger, coarse materials, e.g., tree bark, charcoal pieces, etc. If I put these tiny seeds into a medium like that, it would seem they will simply fall through the large spaces in the "soil" to the bottom of the pot - thereby not getting the sunlight, ventilation, etc. that they will need to grow properly. Please provide guidance about the correct "starter" soil for orchids. Thanks.
You are correct. The coarse medium is not suitable for seeds. They need specialized care in a sterile environment. You may need a book reference from the Orchid Society. Here is more info:

What do I need to do with the shoots that are coming up from my Orchid.
Those are aerial roots, completely normal, and you do not need to remove them. Here is more:

The two photos below are of our orchid, which I know very little about so if you could assist we would be most grateful. There seems to be a number of what maybe roots growing as seen just below the leaves.— What are they? What do I do with them? Can they be removed & repotted to begin another one? Do I have to repot the whole plant? If so what are the steps? Could you identify the species? It seems to be growing quite well with new leaves & those roots? Stems. Most grateful in advance.
The photos didn't come through but these articles should help. The roots above the soil are aerial roots and you can leave them.

Hello, I have my first orchid which was a gift and I love it; it has two stems and one of the stems partially broke about two inches from the last petal. I tried to "split" it and tape it; but it did not work and those petals are dying. I need to cut the stem off right? And if I do, will new flowers on that stem grow? The other stem to this plant is beautiful. Thanks for your help.
You only need to remove the stem if it is brown or turning soft. Then cut it to 2 inches above the soil. If it's still green, it may bloom again. In that case, you will cut it below the fading petals to the first node. They look green in the photos.
