Orchid Plants

The two photos below are of our orchid, which I know very little about so if you could assist we would be most grateful. There seems to be a number of what maybe roots growing as seen just below the leaves.— What are they? What do I do with them? Can they be removed & repotted to begin another one? Do I have to repot the whole plant? If so what are the steps? Could you identify the species? It seems to be growing quite well with new leaves & those roots? Stems. Most grateful in advance.
