I'd normally wait till first frost but schedule is a mess so may need to do v soon. Any risk to the plants of an early removal for winter greenhouse storage? Thank you
As long as the plant has died off for the year, there will be no harm. If the plant is still living, then doing so will disrupt the natural cycle.
Here is an article that will help you to store these properly:

Thanks for this info. I'll have to hold off for a few weeks to let it finish its normal cycle.
My Dahlias are in very large pots, and at first were beautiful, now after a wet summer the leaves are covered in a white dusty stuff and buds are dying before opening. Help !
This article describes some typical problems that potted dahlias experience: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/ornamental/bulbs/dahlia/dahlia-pests-and-diseases.htm
From your description, it sounds as though your dahlias have a case of powdery mildew. This article has info on how to deal with that:

You advise dusting dahlias w/ a fungicide. What kind, copper?
Any dustable fungicide will suffice. Copper sulfate is fine. Wettable sulfur can be sprinkled if you prefer something without copper.

Hello, I have grown a dahlia plant from seed. It has three buds now, but they are all droopy. I water the plant regularly and I have kept it in full sun. Please help. Thank you.
Unfortunately, from seed, these are highly variable. This is going to be how this plant shows its flowers, quite likely. If this trait is not a dominant one, then it will be possible to find a seed from this plant that will not have hanging buds.
These articles will give you quite a bit of information on Dahlia plants:
tubers were brought in late fall, but the soil was already partially frozen. The tubers felt spongy to the touch. Should I just throw these out and start fresh in the spring?
Yes, I would start over. Here is information for next fall.

you please let me know ? thank you very much! Also I want to know can I put mulch around the dahlias. Thank you!
Container size is important. The tuber must be able to sit sideways in the pot. For the tall growing dahlias, you can add a pole support up to 5 feet tall. The dinner plate dahlia will probably need a large container, 16 to 20 inches; I think I'd consider planting it in the ground. And yes, you can mulch them in a container.

Now i see many shoots. Can i split the tubers now? i was scared to do that before because i wasnt sure where the eyes were etc..
it's fine to split the tubers now and put them into the ground. Just make sure to cut away any parts of the tubers that don't look healthy, and leave at least one eye on each segment. Here's an article:
