When we dug up found worms eating into tubers. How can we plant this year to avoid worms and other pests from damaging the tubers as they grow. Been growing Dahlias for years and no problem till 2022.
Since you have been growing dahlias for years, if they are grown in the same place, it is likely insect eggs overwintered in the soil or on dead foliage. Keeping the area clean of fallen debris will help. Also keep the area weed free. Lightly digging in the area will bring up any worms, such as cutworms, that are hiding in the soil. You can drop them in a bowl of soapy water as you see them.
Did you have any problems with cutworms cutting the stems of the foliage, then feeding on the fallen foliage? They are a common pest of dahlias, and also could be what was attacking the tubers. Slugs also will eat holes in tubers.

When starting plants from seeds, you may not get an identical parent if there was hybridization going on to breed certain characteristics. The best way to get an identical dahlia is vegetatively through stem cuttings or replanting the rhizome. You likely won't get flowers the first season from seeds but it can be a fun project to see what you get.
I suspect that is why your leaves look a bit different from the parent. Here is more:

Should I cut off all but one or two?
Likely it is from the same clump of tubers. I wouldn't worry about it, yet. During dormancy will be the time to divide them. These articles will help:

Can you store dried until wrinkled tubers in shredded paper towel, vacuum seal them (like foods for the freezer) and store them in a small fridge?
I couldn't find any reference that suggested the vacuum seal, so I wouldn't recommend it. You can store them in the refrigerator, though. The vacummn seal would prevent any air circulation, but you can try a few of yours that way if you want to test it out. The newwer method is to wrap the tubers in plastic wrap with no other medium. Should ball dahlias be dead headed and if so how?
These are not dahlias, but a groundcover called Sea Thrift. You can deadhead by removing the entire stem.

In the past, I've had some Dahlia that didn't produce any blooms, why is that?
They need precise care. These articles should help:

I grow several dahlias especially Bishop of Llandaff. The last couple of years I have noticed what can only be described as ‘scraping’ on the stems. The stem then snaps off. What could be the cause of this?
It could be cutworms. Take a flashlight out at night and look for the pests. Here is more on how to combat them:
