nd only to one bush, none of my others. I have the rose in a large very tall pot, I have others planted in the same way but it is only this rose which is affected. The buds form but dont grow and the surrounding leaves look like they are eaten as you will see from photo. It isnt greenfly and I see no other insects. I am based in south UK.
This looks to be Rose Rosette Virus. Unfortunately, viral infections are not curable. This article will explain:

Good morning I have a patio rose Ruby Wishes. The buds seem to be dropping off early and they are looking as if they have been decapitated but they are just falling off I have never seen this before the rest of the rose ie Leaves blooms are just fine can anyone help please.
Sometimes cluster-bloomers, like this, will abort them due to climatic or other reasons, but this could also be a sign of rose rosette disease-

m dying. I also put manure on my beans. I\'m an inexperienced gardener
Fresh horse manure isn't all that bad. It would be the only one I would use without composting. You could take it all back off and compost, but it shouldn't be a big deal. Most people are going to recommend that you compost it well to avoid risk of disease or sickness. As long as you apply it a couple of months before harvest, it will have plenty of time to break down on its own.
This is not safe to do with ANY other manure.
The only thing that I would, ABSOLUTELY, remove it from will be the beans. That will overload them with nitrogen.
My Rose bush is new One year old. 1- How to regonise a sucker? 2- How do I prune my Rose? When do I prune it. ? Thank you.
Sucker growth may be long and wild looking and will come from below the graft union. Here is information on pruning and cutting suckers.

We live in Northern California and have had temperatures of 100-104 degrees for 3 to 4 weeks straight (with 1 week in the 90’s). I was wondering if they should be covered somehow during times of extreme heat. Please let me know. Thank you, Barbara Laine
A shade cloth during the hottest portions of the day can help some, but it could be an infection of sorts from overwatering, as well! Unfortunately, your photos did not come through. I am unable to see issue at hand.
