A large semi circle area of my lawn has turned yellow. It is very spongey, so I have raked off a large amount of moss and spiked the area. I have also noticed that some aquilegia, a delphinium and a hydrangea planted nearby have pale foliage and look to be wilting. Any suggestions?
There are lots of possibilities here. Fertilizer burn, chemical injury, moss killer, fungal disease, or lack or nutrients. A soil test would be a good idea. Also, have there been any lawn treatments like weed and feed or anything that could have caused drift onto your ornamentals? Here are articles that address these questions:

Can you identify what is causing these brown marks on my lawn, and what I can do to cure them ?
Well, it appears this site is a waste of time, no answers !!
Here is a picture of our yard next to our neighbors yard. You can see their grass is dark and lush and ours is sparse and dry. What can we do to improve it? We raked the whole yard and put on grass seed already a week ago but any other tips?
Are you fertilizing, mowing and watering correctly? Do you have the same type of grass as your neighbor?

Hi i had this new lawn put Down yesterday, had top soil down before th turf also. The turf started going yellow, is it dead? Thanks
It is experiencing some sort of stress. This is not typical and can indicate that the soil under is too wet, or too dry. Usually, too dry.

Its been three years since I planted this grass and we use to seat in it almost 4 months in a year. Now its bot growing well at few spots. What should I do to cover it fully?
It looks like you will have to improve drainage, since it appears compacted and very wet. You will, likely, have to kill off a mild infection. Fungicides will do the trick.

Hi, I am very amatuer when it comes to gardening, so I was wondering if anybody could help me. Last year around about April, i had paid for somebody to come and and lay turf to my garden as it was just stones we had down and it would give the kids somewhere to play when outside. At the start of april this year I gave the the grass a cut and noticed that there was quite a lot of patchy areas and there also appears to be a lot of discoulored grass that is mostly in the middle area. It has now been well over a month since the last time I had cut the grass and it doesn't appear to have grown any, except from around one side at the fencing. The grass gets plenty of sunshine/rain especially the middle. It is quite frustrating as it is horrible to look at. Is this something that somebody like myself could fix? Or is this a case of ripping it all up and starting again, if atal it is even fixable? Thanks.
This can have many causes, but given your area it could be due to receiving just a little too much water when trying to establish.
