I just bought a Yucca plant. Do I need transfer it to a bigger pot? I feel like the one it came in is too small.
If the roots are coming out of the bottom of the pot or if water runs right through the pot, it may be time to repot.
Only choose a pot 1 or 2" larger then the pot that it is in now. Make sure it has an adequate drainage hole.
Use a good quality potting soil.

We have 2 indoor Yucca plants grown from pups over some 25 years. They are now around 10ft tall! They now only have a single stem and we would like to trim/cut/re-start new pups from these. Is this possible and if so, how would we do it.

Can l plant a yucca in a pot without any drainage holes. Thanks
It is never a good idea to plant in a pot without drainage holes, because this will not allow water to drain and can lead to overwatering and root rot. Even if you avoid this, salts can build up in the soil and harm the plant since they have no way of exiting the pot. See if you can drill holes in the bottom of the pot to create a more hospitable environment.
I have been given a yucca, and it stays outside except during winter. how do I re-pot it? Also what kind of container? Wide and deep, wide and shallow, narrow and deep, narrow and shallow? is terra cotta ok? If not, what?

I have a potted Yucca tree that would like to plant in the ground because it has gotten to big for my house. I am concerned about thebputdoor temperature. I live in New York. Is it more important to keep the leaves warm or the roots warm? I can cover the roots with a blanket and mulch. So I need to wrap the tree as well?
If you live in a part of the state that gets below -10 degrees you will want to only grow these as a houseplant. If it stays above that, then it will survive just fine. The roots are more important to keep protected, but the whole plant will suffer if it gets out of range. You can mulch if you wish, as it is better to be prepared, than not. I have a large 3 trunked yucca that has been outdoors all spring, summer and now fall-I'd love to be able to save it and have it outdoors again next year. Since I live in Iowa I'll need to bring it indoors is this possible? Can it survive in an out building or does it need to be in the house? If possible is there any repotting tricks I need to know? Thank you
It will be happiest in a house near a south facing window, but yes, this is possible. Here is a link on caring for them in container: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/ornamental/foliage/yucca/growing-yucca-indoors.htm

I recently repotted my 6yr old yucca cane plant and accidentally broke off one of the branches. Do I leave the broken area exposed or do I seal it? What should I do?
You can wipe the area clean with peroxide. That will stop any infection from starting. You can root this offshoot somewhat easily. This will give you a second plant! Here is an article that will help: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/ornamental/foliage/yucca/propagation-of-yucca-plant.htm
