We have a mature yucca in A terracotta 14" pot outside in a sunny sheltered south facing small garden.
Light fertilization can help establish the plant when growing yucca in containers, but is not needed for established plants.

I have a yucca (I think), with one trunk branching off into 3 stems. It's not looking too healthy these days and where it used to have leaves all the way up the stems, it now just has them at the top. I was going to repot into a bigger pot but thought I'd ask advice first, please find the photo attached. I keep it in my living room not in direct sunlight. Thanks for any help. Gareth
Thanks for your help i have read he articles. Do you have an email or something i can send the photos to as i would like your opinion? I have it in a pot for indoors without drainage holes, should i have holes and a dish to catch the water? Thanks
We did not receive an image of your plant.
Your plant may not necessarily need repotting.
It may need to be pruned.
Here are some great articles that will help you access your plant and get it back in shape.

I currently have an 11 year old Yucca. It has been grown indoors throughout. It is now starting to take over and is very big, so I would like to transplant it outdoors into my garden and from pot to ground. I've asked my local Homebase garden dept and they said a big NO!! But your site says yes? Can I definitely put it to ground outside without harming it? And are there any special precautions to take through winter periods, like frost or snow, etc.? Thanks in advance.
Your indoor Yucca plant would not survive temperatures below freezing. In fact it can be placed outdoors in the spring and summer but really should not be exposed to temperatures below 50 degrees.
This Yucca is a different plant then the outdoor Yucca that grows outdoors.

It's in front of a large window with morning sun and evening shade. It's usually about 70° in my apartment too.
The yellowing leaves and then eventual drying leaves may be watering issues in combination with lighting. Make sure the soil is of good quality and well draining. Allow the first inch or so to dry out before watering again.

I was moving my Yucca plant. While moving it, I dropped the pot and decapitated the top part of the plant. Can the leafy decapitated part be placed in water and grow roots? Will the stem produce new growth?
I'm sorry your plant got accidentally beheaded! YES, the top part can become a new plant with a little care. This article will walk you through how: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/ornamental/foliage/yucca/propagation-of-yucca-plant.htm
And even more good news: YES, the trunk can be re-rooted. This article will walk you through how: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/ornamental/foliage/yucca/yucca-plants-care-and-pruning-tips-for-pruning-a-yucca.htm
We have two yucca plants in big pots at the front of the house. The tips are getting black burnt with a honey color secretion. The plants have been healthy for two years but unhealthy for six months.
Though the Yucca plants do like to be root bound, it the plant is so root bound and can't take up moisture and nutrients it may be time to repot the plant.

Plant at first did very well in south-facing window. There is new growth but some of the new fronds appear to be coming in "dried" up. I started to mist thinking humidity may be the problem. What to do?
The browning leaves are most likely cause by to much sunlight.
A well lit area but away from direct light is the best location
