I bought this bougainvillea 1 year ago and it was growing lushly. Last summer I left it in the pot and all was fine, with healthy leaves growing. I transplanted it last September to the large ceramic container and since then it barely grows and the leaves are tiny. It's now full summer where I live in Spain. The plant receives lots of sun (6 hours), I water it when the soil's dry, I add nutrients but the leaves won't grow. By comparison I have another bougainvillea which I transplanted around the same time to a smaller ceramic pot and this is doing fine. I'll attach photos of the problem one and the healthy one. Any thoughts what could be the cause of the lack of growth? Any help appreciated.
The pot size is probably too large; they prefer to be somewhat rootbound. Plus, the larger amount of soil holds more water that can lead to root rot.
Also, the other plant in there might be grabbing all the nutrients and water! Your healthy one is in a smaller pot with no other plant.

Hi - our Bougainvillea had outgrown the trellis and pulled it forward - I am looking for some suggestions on how to get it back upright. Someone suggested putting eye anchors in in the siding of the house and pull it back in stages? Any other options or suggestions? Please advise. JJ
These are very tolerant of hard pruning. This article will outline how and when to do this:

I was told not to try and separate a bougainvillea at the roots so please advise on how to grow more of them in containers
You can propagate them with softwood cuttings. Here is how:

Hi, I got a bougainvillea tree at home. A few days before we experienced a wonderful flower boom from this tree. However, these days, it doesn’t looks well, with flowers and leaves falling down, and stems dry out. I water it on a weekly basis, and it sits right in front of our window so the sunlight should be enough. I wonder what is wrong with this tree, or is it normal for it to be like this periodically? Please help me out, and all advice is appreciated! Thank you in advance, and I’m looking forward to hearing from you!
Bougainvilleas need direct sun, warmth and consistent moisture to thrive. Growing them indoors is always a challenge. I'm not clear whether yours was outdoors to start and it was brought in for winter or you had recently purchased it, and it has always been indoors. They typically are an outdoor plant and in cold regions are brought in for the winter. They normally go through flushes of bloom followed by a period of nonblooming. But indoors it is hard to give it enough light without supplemental grow lights. For the winter, you can let it go dormant and lose its leaves and just water enough to keep it alive till you can get it back outside in the spring.

I have had my Bougainvillea along the side fence for 10 years and it is magnificent. However I have let it get quite woody and it is bending my wooden slats on the top of my fence by having grown under it!! SO I have hacked back a section (1/4 of the length ) to the bare fence and was wondering if I could propagate some plants from the existing 3/4 of the creeper to replant in the nude bit?? I know I could buy a few plants but as mine are so healthy (although very wooden at the back) I thought I would see if I could use them. JUST went out and photo'd the underneath woody section! I suppose I should ask if I really need to start again with replanting the whole hedge?? I would really value your advice on this issue.
These are beautiful, and one of my favorites. Yes, you certainly can propagate them from cuttings to fill in. This article explains it pretty well. I don't think you should need to buy more plants. You have a wealth of cuttings available here. It is easier though to propagate from the green, softwood cuttings rather than the woody ones.

planted in a mix of potting soil and 50/50 mix of cow manure and compost - store bought
It probably didn't need repotting yet. They actually like to be a little potbound. And it's usually best to repot when they are between bloom cycles. I think it is just in a bit of shock. Also make sure you didn't go up more than one in pot size. Also check on your watering. Let it start to dry before watering again.

Hello,I have a bougainvillea plant in a pot. Earlier entire plant used to flower, but a few months ago I cut it and since then it only flowers on the tips. And also, the branches are growing longer than earlier. Can I get initial condition of my plant back? Where did I go wrong? Please help. Thank you in advance. :)
Unfortunately, your photos did not come through. The plant may be lacking light, or nutrients. It would be hard to say without seeing the state of the plant.
In order to get the plant back to its happiest state, it will be necessary to care for the plant as flawlessly as possible. This article will help you to know their requirements:
