them to grow? I need about 350 trees.
It is best to wait until after the first year, but this can be done anytime in Spring, or early Autumn. They are fully hardy in your area.

This started to happen with significant leaf loss last January. All the fronds produced since are stunted or are extremely slow to unfurl. There has been no change in growing conditions or situation.
It could be likely that it is in need of fertilization!

Nighttime temps in last month got into low 40s. I fertilized with a nitrogen-heavy fertilizer during summer.
It is cold damage. These can not handle temperatures that dip into the low 50's. They need to be kept warm, and no lower than normal indoor temperatures.

This plant was in a funeral basket for my mom. I really want to take proper care of it because it means a lot to me. I have it in the corner of my breakfast area in an east window. It’s not getting full sun only partial. Should I transplant into a pot by itself? Will it ever get full? Any info you could give me would be appreciated! Thank you
The plant with the fan-like leaves is probably a Parlor palm, Fan palm or another species of Chamaerops. The taller, upright plant is more than likely Dracaena fragrans, or the Fragrant Dracaena.

I have this question and it’s driving me crazy because I can’t find the answer anywhere online!!! They say Areca palms have a lifespan of 10 years but What happens after that?? Would I have to dig out and entire massive Dead 12 foot monster Areca palm out of my garden? Or will some new plants start growing on its place and I wouldn’t even notice when the mother plant dies? (like bromeliads, that they grow a new bromeliad before the mother dies) Please does anyone have the answer to this question???
What will happen will be a slow degredation- The tree will decline, more or less, around the ten year mark. It will, likely, start to drop fronds and fall apart, slowly, over time. The dead material will not have much weight to it, so removing will not be a chore.

Hi, my plant is dying. The leaves are drying up and the roots are black. I checked the soil upto an inch. It seemed dry so I initially thought it needed water so have been watering it every week but that seems to have made it worse. Is it a case of overwatering?
These will not like to be watered as often as most houseplants. Roots should not be black, and this will signal an infection.
Fungicides will be in order.

my areca is about 12-15 inches tall, potted; lives in sunroom, diffused light, warm, watered about once a week (deep watering too). why has it all of sudden turned all brown? it was really pretty before! thanks
Your photo didn't come through, but it sounds like overwatering. Make sure that the soil dries out, very thoroughly, down to almost halfway the container between waterings. Allow ALL extra water out of the container. They will tolerate slightly more water during the growing season and slightly less during the winter.
Watering on schedule will not be appropriate. You will need to, physically, check the moisture down into the soil. If the container does not have drainage to allow all extra water out, then you will need to wait even longer between waterings.
As of now, you will want to treat with a fungicide, and correct watering habits.
