my 20+ year old areca palm has whiteflies! how do I get rid of them before they kill the whole tree? (about 8 ft tall) also my Hawaiian tea plant has them also! I have sprayed them down with soapy water, physically washed each leaf with soap and water, rinsed them outside, and literally doused them both with insecticidal soap spray! what else can I do to save them and how to prevent this again? thanks!

Got this plant of a friend a couple of weeks ago, no idea what it is... it seems to have no root system and the leafs are going brown. Gazza.
This appears to be an Areca Palm. This article will help you to provide proper care:

I had purchased this plant one month back. I am new to gardening, hence I don't know the species. It was growing well for some 3 weeks. I used to water it daily once most of the days and occasionally I used to forget for some 3-4 days. Never allowed water to stagnate under the root. About 2 weeks back I started noticing the leaves turning black at the tips. Then it started drying up altogether. Today one sapling got uprooted by itself from its seed. I could also see some white discolouration near the base of stem just above the soil. I don't know what to do. I'm attaching pictures beneath
This is two issues. Overwatering, and clay soil. Both will kill the plant fast.
You will need to use a potting soil, and make sure to let the plant dry out, thoroughly, down to about 2 or 3 inches between watering.

Only 2-3 Stems are left, can I save it? If yes then how?
I am noticing signs of fungal infection. This is a product of overwatering, or too much humidity.
It may be possible to save this, but it is going to take vigilant fungicide use. Make sure to water with a fungicide as necessary, and spray with a fungicide to kill what is on the leaves.
I would recommend alternating fresh water and fungicide water mix. Only water once the soil is almost completely dry to the bottom. These plants are, somewhat, drought tolerant and prefer dry soils over wet soils. The best will be letting the soil dry to slightly moist down to about 3 inches, but a little less or more is fine.

Please Give me details of germination of palm seeds.
My research says it's not necessary to soak the seed, but you will need to remove it from its outer husk and clean it up. Plant it directly in soilless potting mix, just deep enough for the top of the seed to show above the soil, and water.

Note- These are not mealy bugs for sure I spotted a lots of white yellowish spots underside of the leaves of Areca palm and some are even dusty (wipe off on rubbing) also the stem is having black brown spotting. Please tell the reason and cure.
It looks like a fungal infection from, either, previous insect infestation or previous overwatering, or even both! The reading on the meter is dry at that particular moment, but I cannot see how far into the soil it is in, how large the container is compared to the plant, and how much of the soil is not colonized by root, as well as the type of soil that it is in.
There is a bit of information missing from the photos, but from what I see... It is an infection from roots remaining too wet for too long, or from compacted soil, such as clay.

Sir the pot is 12" standard plastic pot and As you said that clay like soil can effect too, i think that's the reason because the meter is set for Ph value of soil and not moisture and is half way deep. Also the plant has been potted in the same pot since a year and I have no idea of root occupancy,. But on top of that thanks a lot for guiding me, i will surely do something.
I had bought this plant one month back it was growing well when i noticed some leaves drying up. After 2 weeks rest of it also started drying and there was a white discoloration near the base of stem. Today one of the plant just came out from soil. What to do ??
There may be some root rot going on due to overwatering. Once the roots are damaged and can't take up water, the plant will look dry no matter how much water you give it.
You could try to save it by replacing the soil with fresh potting soil and cleaning the container before repotting.
