Q.Does The Whole Areca Palm Tree Dies After The 10 Years Lifespan??
I have this question and it’s driving me crazy because I can’t find the answer anywhere online!!! They say Areca palms have a lifespan of 10 years but What happens after that?? Would I have to dig out and entire massive Dead 12 foot monster Areca palm out of my garden? Or will some new plants start growing on its place and I wouldn’t even notice when the mother plant dies? (like bromeliads, that they grow a new bromeliad before the mother dies) Please does anyone have the answer to this question???

What will happen will be a slow degredation- The tree will decline, more or less, around the ten year mark. It will, likely, start to drop fronds and fall apart, slowly, over time. The dead material will not have much weight to it, so removing will not be a chore.
