I have a round fountain in my garden, surrounded by about 12 inches of growing space. This border has a lot of problems. First, the soil is quite sandy, because we removed pavers to make room for the fountain -- the pavers had been originally placed on a base of sand. Secondly, the ground is quite wet, due to the splashing of the fountain. I have been able to manage both of these conditions. My real problem is that this is my dog's favorite place to pee. Any plant suggestions?
Sedums would do well there. They take a wide variety of conditions and spread well in sandy soil.
Can someone please tell me how to stop my two dalmations from digging up my backyard. It's always in the same areas and it's driving us up the wall.

They are everywhere and I can't seem to get rid of them! They're even on the roof trying to get inside and running all over our enclosed backyard. We bought the fake owls, etc. What next?

You can buy a product at your local gardening store that you screw into the ground and it gives off a signal/vibration every few minutes that drives the moles away. Works great!
I grow vegetables, as well as flowers, in containers and am looking for a repellent for dogs, cats, and raccoons that can be used for these containers. We do eat the vegetables. Any recommendations?
Try either citrus peels or hot pepper powder. They normally do not like these things and will avoid them.
