Can strips of Juicy Fruit gum kill moles?
There is no evidence to support that this works. I have never seen it kill moles, but the smell of it (being a very human smell) may drive them off. Again, nothing to support this though.
We have lots of moles in our yard. Do you know any home remedies to kill them? We have dogs, so we don't want to use poisons.

Will using a Castor oil mix help run moles off, and if so, what is the mix ratio to use and what should I mix it with?
Many extension services do feel it is effective. Here is the recipe: Mix 6 ounces of castor oil and 2 tbsp of dish soap in one gallon of water. This becomes the concentrate. Mix one ounce of concentrate per gallon of water and apply to the lawn. Reapply of it rains.

If I start a new garden and need to fence it in, do I need to put the wire fence underground to keep animals out?
It depends on the types of animals that may cause a problem for you. Small animals like rabbits and groundhogs will require burying the fence some to keep them from digging underneath. Larger animals, like deer, do not need the fence buried.
