We have masses of squirrels at our home because of large trees all over the area. I planted a small garden with some seeds and plants. Birds and squirrels are a problem. I don't want to trap them but want to be rid of them or at least keep them out of my garden. What is a person to do that doesn't have gardening skills?

As for the birds, which are inevitable, it sometimes helps to create a sanctuary just for them by adding bird feeders nearby. If you have fruit trees, then this article will help: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/edible/fruits/fegen/protect-fruit-tree-birds.htm

I personally like keeping a hose and sprayer handy and squirt them when I see them in my yard.
Squirrels have been digging craters on my front lawn and I can't get rid of them. They are wreaking havoc with my grass, plants, etc. How do I get rid of them? I live in a New York suburb.

I am looking for some plants that my dog will not rip, tear, chew or pull out of our yard. So far she has pulled out most of our plants and pulled out three rose bushes. I was also told about using Liquid Fence repellent. There has to be some plants dogs will not chew. We live in the state of Washington.

a invisible fence system around your gardens . and a few weeks of obedience training should do the trick .
I noticed after snow melted that a great deal of bark has been chewed off of my hedge by rabbits. I am wondering if there is anything I can do to save the hedge? All the areas chewed are completely around the trunk and about 6 to 12 inches long.
If the trunk has been girdled (where the bark has been removed all around), then there is not much you can do. If even a little bark remains, you need to take steps to protect it. Metal mesh around the base of the trunk up to 6-12" up will help keep them from chewing.
How can we keep rabbits and crows out of our garden? I tried wind socks, beach balls, etc.

Our house borders a wooded area (Jax, FL) and we have raccoons that are becoming pests. We have tried putting black and red cayenne pepper out as well as soaking towels or clothes with pure ammonia and laying these around the border of our patio. Neither seems to bother them. Any suggestions?
