    Yes, but they are not likely to survive that way. The proper method would be to set these runners, still attached, in a container of soil until it roots solidly. Then snip it from the parent. These will take root every time in this way.

    I see multiple insect infestations. I would recommend one of two ways to deal with this. Use Neem oil, as long as you spray when it is not in full sun, as this can burn the plant.

    You can also slice hot peppers and boil them in water until they are soft. Strain after this cools, and use the water to spray.

    Whichever way you choose, make sure to wash the fruit before you consume it.

    I can't site a horticulture study but I always pick off the larger leaves. I don't know if there is any science behind it but I feel that it will allow air to circulate around the plants and perhaps help combat mould as well as letting the fruit get more of the sun. They should get 6 hours of sun!
