My strawberry bed has good crop but also has a massive crop of big healthy leaves which crowd out
Everything , should I reduce the number of leaves now too open up light source to give strawberries a better chance to ripen ?
I can't site a horticulture study but I always pick off the larger leaves. I don't know if there is any science behind it but I feel that it will allow air to circulate around the plants and perhaps help combat mould as well as letting the fruit get more of the sun. They should get 6 hours of sun!
