Q.Strawberry pests

Zone CF63 1de | VdubCazy added on May 18, 2018 | Answered

Good morning, unfortunately I’ve found small green and brown looking bugs on my strawberry plants this morning. Obviously my strawberrys have flowers right now. What is the best way to treat this or is it too late?

Many many thanks, Dan

I see multiple insect infestations. I would recommend one of two ways to deal with this. Use Neem oil, as long as you spray when it is not in full sun, as this can burn the plant.

You can also slice hot peppers and boil them in water until they are soft. Strain after this cools, and use the water to spray.

Whichever way you choose, make sure to wash the fruit before you consume it.
