My Shiro plum tree had so many blooms and it had a bunch of tiny little plums. Then right after we saw all of the new little plums, all of a sudden there were no plums at all, they just disappeared. How can that happen and what causes it? It is very humid here and we are suffering a drought, but we also have drip irrigation on our trees.
Here are a couple of articles that should help:

In Jamaica you just throw the seed from a eaten plum under a tree(they do not bury the seed). I have been trying for a year but I can't seem to get one going. Much appreciated.
Hi. We have a plum tree (not sure what variety) that is planted next to the fence and is now (Mid June) about 8 feet high. I’ve only just read about fanning plum trees and would like to try with ours. Would it still be doable? If so, would I need to wait till next year? Finally do I cut back the branches at the end of this summer. Thanks.
It is still an option. This article will help:

We planted an Italian plum tree (dwarf) in our yard 8 year ago, and it is infested with aphids, and every year, we remove the branches with the aphids. But this year, it seems there was aphids a whole lot. Our neighbour also has a plum tree, a healthy tree full of plums, which I could only envy for. My question is: how can I get rid of all the aphids which keeps coming back year after year? Thank you so much! Lakhvir
Sure! This article will help you to get rid of aphids:

Hi, My plum tree was badly infected with a black fungus leaf spot. I sprayed it twice over 2 weeks with yates mancozeb. It rained about 1 day after each application. Subsequently all the leaves have fallen off. Will the tree come back to life? Can I support it in anyway? Thank you, Gemma
You can do the "scratch test" to see if the tree is still alive:

Once you determine that the tree is still living, there is not much to do. Recovery will happen on its own. Just make sure that you care for it, and ensure that the soil is fed properly. Here are some articles that will help:

Would like to know what is growing on the tree. This type of growth is there on many branches.
This is Black Knot Fungus (Apiosporina morbosa). Here is an article that will help:

Hello, I am still learning my way around my garden and yard. This tree was planted two years ago and is still young. It’s a flowering plum Tree. Should I be trimming these areas at the bottom off? Also, is it a must that I put new mulch every year around the base?
I would keep all of these "suckers" at the base pruned off. They will sap nutrients from the existing tree, so you don't want them around.

Mulching can help, unless your area gets a lot of rainfall. If this is the case, I would not mulch.
