I am a novice, but bought an orchid that was near to death about three years ago. It has thrived, but after researching today the mass of air roots it has developed I believe it needs to be repotted. When I repor it do I just leave the air roots alone?
Air roots are normal on certain orchids. Leave them alone when you repot; they are vital to plant health. https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/ornamental/flowers/orchids/roots-coming-from-plant.htm
The American Orchid Society, aos.org, has picture ID pages. I think they call it Orchid A-Z. Knowing which orchid you have is important to proper care. The website has care sheets on each subtype of orchid.
What temperature should an indoor orchid be kept at?
Orchids are most comfortable at 60 to 85F. This article will give you more information on the care of these: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/ornamental/flowers/orchids/indoor-orchid-care.htm
I was given an orchid with dyed blue petals. After a few weeks the petals all fell off. What can I do to make it re-bloom?

Hello! My orchid has grown tendrils at the top of one of the shoots. I've attatched a photo. I'm unsure if I should try to cut the plant at the base of the root and repot a second plant? or if the air roots will take in nutrient from the air and to leave them be. thanks kindly for any advice, Va
Orchid air roots should usually not be removed unless they are diseased or dead:

However, excessive air root growth can be a sign that the pot is either slightly too small or that the medium needs to be replaced. Sphagnum moss or bark media need to be replaced about every 1-2 years.
Do orchids go dormant? How often and for how long?
Yes, many species of orchids go dormant. The length of time is going to vary according to what species of orchid you have and what growing conditions you have given it. Some orchids go dormant for several months. If you currently have an orchid, what you'll first want to do if find out what species you have and then learn its requirements. There are many species of orchids.
I was given this recently and it lives in my kitchen. It appears healthy I am just wondering if it needs trimming or will it just keep getting taller? I have never had an orchid before.
It will take a very long time to get tall, but it will keep stacking leaves on top of each other. They should remain pretty short as long as they are getting proper lighting. It needs to be bright, but not in direct sun. After the blooms fade, they will fall off. You should leave this stem, as they can bloom again under the correct conditions. I’ve read that potting soil should be boiled before use to kill germs. Do you agree? I just purchased Phalaenopsis AAA Imperial Orchid Mix.
If you would like to then it wouldn't hurt. I have many orchids, that I have planted directly into the mix. They do very well with the proper lighting, humidity, and a little weakly mixed orchid fertilizer every few weeks.
