Hello! I’ve been dealing with this disgusting and persistent plague... I’ve tried about everything my local hardware and garden store offers. I love phothus, have them inside my apartment and manage to grow them with a dedicated plant grow lamp, the problem is that they are infested with white bugs. So annoyed! Help please!
It looks like mealybugs. Here are some treatment options:

One of my two 6 year old peach trees has granulated ambrosia beetles and is dying. How can I protect the other tree? I have plum trees in the same area. Are they susceptible also? How should I destroy the diseased tree. It looks like it is dying. The blooms and baby peaches are all dead and the leaves are not coming.
Unfortunately, there is no cure once they are established. Almost all fruit and nut species are susceptible, and prevention will be the only method of control.

I had whiteflies in my garden last year for the first time ever. Not sure where they came from but I want to treat my garden soil before I plant this year to get rid of any eggs or other bacteria left behind. I was planning to treat it with hydrogen peroxide but was not sure how early I should apply this treatment. Is this something you would recommend, and when should the treatment be applied (how long before I plant my new garden)?
Here are two articles that should be helpful. The one on houseplants includes the garden, too. Whiteflies lay eggs on plants so they won't be in the soil. If you removed all your plants from last year, you should be good, 'til they invade your yard again. The eggs and pupa are resistant to insecticides, so control is difficult. There are some suggestions below, plus how to use hydrogen peroxide in the garden.

The instructions in your article say mix one quart of Kaolin to etc. I have rec'd the Kaolin i powder form. How do I equate that to a quart, e.g., does one pound of powder mixed with water provide the right mixture or a quarter pound of powder in a quart of water, etc?
You will fill a liquid quart measure with the equivalent in powder. Surround is most commonly found as a powder.
Thanks for the quick answer.
Just discovered on new fence wood.

I can't really tell what is going on from the one photo. I will, also, need to know more about the plant in question, the type of soil, whether it is indoors or out, and any information that you can give. I'm sorry, I just don't have enough information to give any kind of diagnosis.
