What kind of feed for these hibiscus plants? Just starting to get into them. Cheers, jock.
You can either use a diluted liquid feed a few times a month, or you can get something slow release, and only feed it once a month. It is important not to feed them at all during the winter. I live in zip code 94706. I planted a beautiful hibiscus last year but it died with an unusual frost we had. Is there a hardy hibiscus that I can plant in half sun half shade that will survive in the East San Francisco Bay area. I do not live in Contra Costa County where the heat and cold is more severe than here. Ann Duncan tashiera701@yahoo.com
Most varieties will tolerate your are, as you are in zone 10, with the exception of a few true, tropical varieties. I am including an article that will suggest a few that are hardy all the way down to zone 6. This will ensure that the frost couldn't kill it. I am new to NC and planted 2 Hibiscus plants that are doing fantastic. If I leave them out side. Will they go dormant and come back next pring?
There are several types of hibiscus and the answer to your question depends on what type you have. If you have tropical hibiscus, it will not survive winter outdoors. It is often distinguished by very glossy leaves. It is often grown in containers so they can be moved indoors in cool weather. This article mentions the different types. If you can't figure out which one you have, please post a picture of your plant. https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/ornamental/flowers/hibiscus/deadheading-hibiscus-flowers.htm
What might be the cause of a Hibiscus plant not flowering. Has large tangerine color flowers when it used to bloom. Very healthy leaves but will not bloom. Thanks a head of time.
Not enough sunlight and over fertilizing are common reasons for lack of flowers on a Hibiscus.

The above question is complete
There are a few things that can cause this. Perhaps this article will help you to narrow down the possibilities: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/ornamental/flowers/hibiscus/hibiscus-flowers-hibiscus-blossoms-falling-off-plant.htm
My neighbor had her awnings power washed with a bleach cleaner sprayed on my hibiscus . Leaves and yellowing and falling off ... can it be saved?
Yellowing leaves are common on Hibiscus, but bleach certainly can kill off leaves and even entire plants. If the soil can be washed with water to flush it from the soil, I would do that. You will just need to trim away dead plant material as it appears and wait out the damage.
Plant is relatively young. Main branch less than 1/2 inch diameter.
Though it is recommended to prune your plant regularly and on a schedule, I recommend giving it a clean up when you bring indoors for winter. Use proper pruning techniques and do not over prune. See the articles below.
