Once coriander bolts, can it be cut back and will it regrow for the next season?
Once it bolts, it cannot be reversed. It is best to replant new seeds. Actually, with cilantro, it is best to plant new seeds every few weeks to keep a constant supply of cilantro growing. It is annual, so will not come back next year. Here is more info on bolting cilantro plants: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/edible/herbs/cilantro/cilantro-bolting.htm
I am growing cilantro from seed in my garden. The seedlings are just a couple inches tall with a couple pairs of true leaves. However, each morning one or two of them have been laying dead wilted on the soil. Once I pull the seedling up, what little root it had appears to have been eaten. Any suggestions on where to start looking for the cause?
I think your problem could be due to damping off. Here is more information: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/garden-how-to/seeds/what-is-damping-off.htm
Thank you for this! Looks to be right on after reading through the article. Only if gmail didn't mark it as spam so I would have seen it sooner :)
I have a Cilantro plant that has bolted and I'm wondering if I transplant it to another pot to keep it in a cooler location if it will come back and produce the leaves again?
If your plants have already flowered, you can harvest the seed to grow more. These articles should help: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/edible/herbs/cilantro/cilantro-bolting.htm

What do I do with my cilantro once it has bolted? I have read about harvesting the seeds, but at the moment the plant is taking over my herb garden! It's about three foot tall and quite wide. It's my first herb garden. Should I cut it back? From what I've read, it's only the young leaves that should be harvested, so should I take it out? Thank you.

When picking cilantro, parsley, oregano, or basil, do you use the stems and flowers, especially cilantro? It says, use 1/3 top, but doesn't say anything about using the stems. I want to dry it for the family, not just sure how to pick it. On parsley, use leaves. For basil, you use leaves. Just trying my luck at growing herbs, not sure how much you use for drying in a dehydrator for a later date. Can you use stems and cut up in small pieces with the dried stuff.
After harvesting, most people strip the leaves from the stems, unless drying. This article should help: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/edible/herbs/hgen/how-to-dry-herbs-various-methods.htm
Is freezing cilantro the only way to preserve it or can it be dried?
