Hello! I have a one year old bougainvilla that has spent the past year growing up next to a 6 year old bigger bougainvilla. I recently noticed that this little plant no longer has any bloom. Both are on a patio without any shade. The little bougainvilla has bloomed maybe twice with beautiful purple/fuchsia color over pandemic. I water both once a week. Any ideas to help revive? Thank you!
Are you fertilizing? They need feeding, especially since they are in pots. And I don't see many leaves. Fertilizer should help that, too, as well as pruning. Has the older one had a potting soil refresh and some pruning? It is rather spindly. Here are articles that should help.

Last November (2020) a friend gave me a cutting from her bougainvillea. I had it in a sunny window and it grew to about 4 feet in height. I repotted it once. I have had it outside in the warmer weather. I would like to prune to be bushier and to keep it at maybe two feet in height. It is presently blooming on the top 12 "or so. I live in Montreal (zone 5a) so it definitely has to come in for the winter. How and when should I prune it? How should I prune it to have multiple branches? Thanks very much.
Your cutting did well! You can lightly prune it after the blooms fade. Cut back a couple of inches on the tip. Any severe pruning should be done when it is dormant at end of winter.

My plant lost all flowers and now how do I get it to flower again?
Bougainvillea's blooming is cyclic and it should bloom again. Here are some things that can hinder its bloom:

b lank --I want to get the plant to bloom again!!!
They are supposed to thrive on neglect so it is frustrating when they don't bloom. The bloom time is cyclic; they don't bloom constantly like annuals. Make sure you aren't overwatering and use fertilizer without nitrogen.
Here is info that should help pinpoint the problem:

7 days ago it was healthy, now the whole plant is suffering like the detail fotos show. The plant has been in this position in the pot two years, the weather is good, late summer. 27°C day, 20°C night. No sign of bugs. Now today my second Bougainvillea 20 yards distant looks as if it's starting to replicate the same suffering. How can I save them? I've never had water drainage issues.
Unfortunately, I am seeing what DOES appear to be a drainage issue. That standing water in the tray is no good, and will be what has lead to a fungal or bacterial infection.
Outdoors, it will not need to sit in that tray. This is for when the container is sitting over something that doesn't need to get wet by the drippings out of the container. In this setting, it will only serve to trap water, and ultimately, cause an infection.
I would remove the trays, and treat with a fungicide.

enI have had my bougainvillea plant in a pot for several years. I live in the NY area (lower Westchester), so I just brought it inside onto my porch, where it spends the winter - around 55*F or higher. As usual, it is now losing its leaves. 1- How often should I water it? 2- Is this a good time to trim it? Thank you. Evelyne Otten
Mine get watered once the container is completely dry down about halfway into the container. This will keep them from getting any infections over the winter.
As far as leaf loss goes... This can happen due to lack of light, and lack of humidity. Increase both to decrease leaf loss.
Light pruning can be done at any time, but a heavy pruning should be done right before putting it out in spring.
