Purchased 4 bottlebrush plants that were labeled "hot pop pink" color. They apparently were mislabeled as they are all blooming red. Rather than dig them up and return them, I'm wondering if the color can be changed by the addition of an acid to the soil, or some other method.
That works with mophead hydrangeas, but color change is usually not up to us. Here is an article about the science behind color change.

Do I cut off the dry ends of the brush plant - they are about 15cms long, dry and dead but look like little empty nuts? Nobody else seems to be asking this question. I assume they are last years flowers but I get them every year and don't know what to do with them. The bush is healthy and starting to flower. I live in France.
I'm going to assume you're referring to what we call bottlebrush. This article explains how to trim them back:

and this is general growing information. I hope these are helpful.

We have two of the same bottlebrush plants and one has soft, more full leaves while the other has hard, pointy ones. What might be causing this and what can be done to remedy it.
One has started new growth, and the other has not. Make sure that they are receiving the same care, have the same amount of light, and similar feeding and watering.
This article will help with the care of the shrub:

Unfortunately, your photo did not come through. I am unable to see the damage. It sounds like transplant shock. This article will help:

not harm the trunk. Any input would be helpful. Thanks Linda
This article says plastic tubes or pipes can be fitted around trees for protection. Just make sure it won't restrict the growth of the tree.

Suggestions for keeping another bottlebrush in a different location healthy please
Research says these can live from 20-40 years.

We just planted these bushes this month. We live in Arizona where daytime temps now reach 90 degrees but usually in 80s. I have been watering 3 times a week.
Likely, it is a combination of high heat and overwatering. This combination is deadly for most new transplants. It will cause root suffocation, and stop new growth, while leading to infections in the soil.
From here, you will want to solarize your soil, and start over, planting in spring or autumn when the temperatures remain moderate.
