Along with the sunburned leaves, the plant itself may have become dry.
Make sure your watering the plant adequately for the warmer temperature.
Water well, but allow to dry slightly between waterings.

If it's just a few leaves that are damaged, I would trim them away. If the entire plant is suffering, wait to trim to lessen the stress as the plant recovers.

Your Bird Of Paradise does not shed it's spent flowers and must be dead headed to keep the plant healthy and producing more flowers.
Cut the spent flower off as far down into the plant as possible. Tidy up any old leaves around the base of the plant.
Leaving spent flowers to long on the plant will deter more flowers and invite insects and fungus to the plant.
The flowers should last about a week.

It takes Bird of Paradise plants three to five years to mature from seeds, which are about the same size as a sweet pea seeds and have orange fuzz on the end. Hard seed shells dictate that they must be scratched before they will germinate. The easiest way to do this is to soak them in room temperature water overnight and nick the hard case with a knife or other instrument prior to planting. Do not allow the soil to become dry. Keep it moist, not wet. Cover the seed with a glass container, such as a jar, in order to create a humid environment. It will take Bird of Paradise seeds eight to twelve weeks to germinate. If planting outdoors in ground, it is best to keep it at the same depth as the height of the root ball (or same as the container its currently in).
