Q.burnt bird of paradise

Zone I love in florida | Traceyrussell73 added on June 20, 2015 | Answered

I have an bird of paradise. My husband sat it outside in the heat of about 94 and it looks like it has gotten burnt. The leaves are dry and burnt looking. What should I do to make the leaves come back to life?

Along with the sunburned leaves, the plant itself may have become dry.
Make sure your watering the plant adequately for the warmer temperature.
Water well, but allow to dry slightly between waterings.

If it's just a few leaves that are damaged, I would trim them away. If the entire plant is suffering, wait to trim to lessen the stress as the plant recovers.
