My 3-year established Zoysia lawn has started turning brown in large areas, exacerbating over the last week. I have MultiFlow drainage system in the area involved, so moisture should not be a cause. Leaf has brown areas but no dark brown or rust margin. I'm in Memphis, TN.

In an attempt to keep the Zoysia grass out of our beds, we sprayed the entire bed with weed and grass killer. Put down layers of wet newspaper, covered that with the black landscape cloth and then covered that with mulch. Put pots out for flowers. As I write, the grass is almost covering the mulch. I can no longer pull it out (hands not as strong as they use to be). Any suggestions to what would help?

I have dead (black) spots in my zoysia (Emerald). What could be the problem? Don't think it is brown patch.

My zoysia lawn is not green and luscious as it was last year. It looks like a shag carpet with green and brown leaves. It is cut to the correct length. It has been limed and fertilized at the proper time and now I have applied a fertilizer high in iron.

Is it too late too plant zoysia plugs in August? I want to have a nice lawn by next spring.

I planted zoysia sods three months ago, which became a beautiful green lawn this summer. However, I started to notice a few brown patches in some areas. I checked w/some local landscapers. They tell me about 'fungus', recommending some products. These products instruct to wait until cooler weather. I live in Florida and cooler weather will arrive in November. Can you give me some advice on a good treatment that can be effective during summer months, or should I let it die.

Be sure to use moss from Canada - it has a different ingredient (it may explain in link above) that makes it better for fungus than U.S. moss.
I re-sod my front lawn with El toro Zoysia grass last fall. The grass was beautiful until today. I saw several areas with brown patches, upon inspection and research on the web, I think my lawn is infected with Nematode pests. My questions is, what and how and where to buy products to get rid of them? Please help.
