My yucca plant leaves were turning black by the hand fulls. I pull them off and then a few days later there is more as well as sections of the trunk was turning black. I always put in house during winter, then back on porch in spring. When this happened it was in house.
This sounds, either, fungal or bacterial! Unfortunately, your photo did not come through so I cannot identify the issue.
This is caused by overwatering, most commonly. You will have to make sure to let these dry out, very thoroughly, between waterings. I would recommend treating with a fungicide, also.

Hello, I have a yucca for 6 years. When I bought it, it had long plentiful leaves, but for the past few years the leaves a are sparse and short, turn yellow quickly. I thought it was too much water, so now I barely water it, with no change. It does have small white things on the leaves. But they don't move. I have also sprayed it with pest killer and they do not go. Thanks Luke
Ah, soft scale. This is a pesky insect that will leave long lasting issues for your plant, as they carry a copious amount of plant diseases.
First, you will have to remove as many as possible, manually. They seal themselves to your plants, making pesticides less effective.
Once you remove as many as possible, you can treat with a pesticide. There are many to choose from. These articles will help:

Do you think they are the cause of the leaves growing very sparsely and going yellow? Thanks
All leaves of 4 yucca plants are broken off
You didn't mention whether the plants may have had snow or cold damage over the winter, but if so, here's an article that may be helpful: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/ornamental/foliage/yucca/yucca-cold-weather.htm
If this is a houseplant, there may be other issues. Did the leaves turn brown before breaking off? Here's another article with helpful info:

Hi there, Given the recent good weather I’ve placed my yucca outside so it gets direct sunlight all day. However the leaves have turned white and brown at the top. Any idea why?
Plants that do not get a chance to acclimate, slowly, to their new environment will exhibit these symptoms.

Is there anything I can put on the trunk of a Yucca (varnish/paint) to stop new shoots from growing?
If you are worried about the height of the yucca, you can prune it. Here are instructions:
Sorry I dont what this plant Bush is called but it has grown very big. Could someone help me on what it is and how to cut it
It looks like a Yucca, and they don't usually require much pruning outside of removing spent flowering heads and dead leaves.

Hello there, we have a big yucca by the front door and it starting to get yellow leaves at the centre on some of the plant crowns. I'm worried its diseased and it may spread to the whole plant. any advice on what I can do many thanks
Unfortunately, your photo did not come through. I am unable to see the damage.
It could be several things, but make sure that they have time to dry out. Overwatering will be the most common issue.
