Meaning end to end north/south or east/west or somewhere in between? I have a large garden and live in the Tweed Valley northern NSW? I have two vines to plant, so I thought I could put one either side?
Wisteria like lots of sun, so keep that in mind when placing your plants. I would think placing the trellis along the east/west axis would be best. This article has more information: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/ornamental/vines/wisteria/growing-wisteria-proper-wisteria-vine-care.htm
What NPK should I use to fertilize wisteria for winter in 9b Texas?
Really, they do not need much prep for winter. If you do fertilize, use a balanced fertilizer.
My 5 year old Wisteria has developed leaves that first turn yellow on the leaf tips and progresses to the entire leaf that turns brown.
Wisteria is tough and hardy, and suffers from very few diseases. First make sure the plant is getting enough water, but that the soil is well drained enough that it's not muddy. Other than this, the most likely problem is some kind of root problem, nematodes or galls. This article has more information: https://plantdiseasehandbook.tamu.edu/landscaping/shrubs/wisteria/
You can take some root and leaf samples to the county extension service for advice and assistance. This link will help you find the nearest office: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/garden-how-to/info/what-is-extension-service.htm
I just planted the bush this summer. What do I need to do with it? It has not produced any flowers. Thanks.

I Have a Wisteria tree that has shoots coming up from under the soil, but right next to the tree. I cut 2 (one was 10" tall with branches. The other was 15" the same). I planted them in a peat/sand mix and covered them with large zip lock bags. There is good drainage and moisture buildup. They have been in soil for about 10 days and I noticed mold buildup on the plants. I took the plastic off and leaves started falling off and the top of the stem has turned from medium green to brown. What have I done wrong? I have 3 more green shoots coming from the mother plant. I don't want to repeat my mistake. Please help!
They may be somewhere that is too warm, so make sure that they are out of direct sunlight and not too warm (60 -75 F is ideal). Second, your cuttings are rather long. I would recommend that the cuttings be 3-6" long. Any longer than this and they cannot support themselves very well before the roots come in.
My wisteria is sick. There is no new growth. The leaves are starting to wilt and I can't find anything in my books. Thought it was lacking in water but the soil is moist. Can't see any signs of pests. There is a little bit of marking around the base of the trunk though. The bougainvillea is in the same area and it hardly flowered this year. There are few leaves appearing and these two plants are only three years old.
It sounds like there may be a root rot fungus in the soil. It would cause the plants to look under watered. Try soaking the soil with a fungicide. This may clear it up. Unfortunately, some forms of root rot are untreatable and the only fix is to remove affected plants before it spreads to other plants. But I would give fungicide a try first. Try treating the soil every other week for a few weeks and see if you see improvement.
My wisteria appears to be dying. I noticed on Friday that all the leaves are drying out. This after it put on a beautiful spring display of flowers and covered itself with leaves thereafter. I really don't want to lose it. Please help.
Trying to figure out what's wrong with a plant, you need to consider its environment - water, light, soil - and the appearance of leaves and branches. Also, if your wisteria is potted rather than in the ground, that can have a bearing on what's going on. You will want to make sure all the cultural variables are optimum; a plant that's healthy is going to be able to fight off many diseases.
