This is basically my question. I wish you provided the authors' emails so we could ask them questions directly. Thanks.
Thank you for writing. I will forward your comments to the editorial team.
I followed the advice on your guide to companion planting with okra and planted them with my sunflowers. My healthy seedlings grew more and more stunted. That’s when I dis some research and discovered that sunflowers release chemicals that can kill neighboring plants. Please correct this in your guide, so that others don’t have the same problem I did. If I just cut down the sunflowers, will it solve the problem? Or will the chemicals remain in the soil? This article says not to till the plant into the soil but not what happens if you remove the plant completely: https://homeguides.sfgate.com/sunflowers-harm-garden-61282.html Thanks.
Okra is immune to any of sunflowers' toxic oils. This is what makes them great companions, and one of the few that do well next to sunflowers.
Unfortunately, something else has killed your okra. Generally, being a very drought tolerant plant, overwatering will be the culprit. They prefer dry soils, where the sunflower can tolerate quite a bit more water than okra.
Your photo did not come through, so I cannot assess the damage. I would suggest a fungicide for the area, and putting more emphasis on the care of the okra, rather than sunflowers in this case. The sunflower will tolerate the conditions necessary to grow okra, but optimal conditions for sunflowers may be just a bit too wet for okra.
Here are a couple of articles that will help:

they are wilting, and i read that they could be lacking nitrogen.
Plants don't usually wilt from lack of fertilizer. The could be pale & not lush, but maybe they need a deeper soaking of water. We use mushroom comp in our veg garden. And it works great.
This has just appeared in my garden , can you help with identifying it please ?
Did you have a bird feeder with sunflower seeds? That is what these look like - sunflowers.

I was late planting sunflowers salvia and other bedding plants. Something is eating young leaves leaving g large holes. Also growing tips of new clematis plants. What can I put onto discourage this. Tried slugpellets earwig traps, and soap and water. Can you Help!
Applying slug pellets should be done away from the garden, as it attracts them. Attracting them to the garden will mean that, along with the pellets, they will consume the plants, also.
If you have used slug pellets near your garden, or in your garden, then they are likely eating your plants, as well.
Otherwise, unless you catch the predator in the act, it will be hard to say.
I would suggest using a few forms of pest control, together. These articles will help:

I cut the head off one of my sunflowers to dry out inside but I noticed the seeds were all white and there was no black stripe. Will the seeds continue to ripen while its hanging inside or did I cut it off too early? I want to roast and eat the seeds. And will the black stripe still show up even though its off the stem? Thank u.
Unfortunately, your photo did not come through. Some cultivars show the stripe and some do not. This depends on the cultivar that you chose.
Also, they should be fairly ripe before cutting the head. They will ripen a little, but not enough to make a difference.
This article will help you to know how and when to cut sunflower heads in the future:

So here's the detail -Using normal edible sunflower seeds -Have direct sunlight since seedling -Around 12" tall -Given plenty of high nitrogen based fertilizer every 2 week -There are flower buds regardless of its small size and I think the flower will be extremely small or won't grow at all -planted in pot with 12" diameter pot and depth is quite large and its alone in it The leave are very small: 3 finger size but doesn't have the length of a finger Stem are like pencil only a bit thicker.... This is my first time planting a sunflower and this sunflower making me lose hope. Do sunflower need something to grow big? Is my soil poor? Ph is neutral
When you said "normal edible" sunflower seeds, do you mean you planted seeds you bought for snacking? If so, there's no way to know what to expect. It's best to buy packaged seed varieties from a seed company that will grow to the height you desire with the seed head size you desire. If you did plant packaged seeds for home growing, it sounds like the pot is too small for the large varieties. They need a 3 to 5 gallon container. The roots of a sunflower grow wide and deep. They need fertile soil and full sun - 6 to 8 hours a day. Here is more info:
