No. Damage to a Sago will introduce a pathogen. This article will help you to care for the tree:

P.S. You may have uploaded the wrong image. One of them is a bit strange.
Most of the fronds are losing the end of it. The other sago do not show this issue and they were planted at the same time one beside other. Thanks in advance. Picture is attached and shows the tip hanging from the fronds the other fronds are already short.
Without catching the crook in the act, it will be very hard to say! Likely, an insect has been chewing on the stems for sap. This collection of articles will help you with insecticide use:

Everything I have researched doesn’t show new fronds growing through the seed pod. Some of the seeds look small and the pod is still full and firm. It’s isn’t dried out and the seeds are still attached really tight.
This happens, occasionally. It is no cause for concern. Unfortunately, if there are no males around to pollinate those female flowers, then there will be no chance of seeds.
I recently was gifted a beautiful sago palm, however she was not fed . Its now September (end if active growing season) Do I go ahead and feed her and then leave her for the winter or do I not feed her and wait until April. I'm new to sagos. Please help! Thank you in advance
Waiting until spring will be best. It's too late in the year to fertilize.

I've had this palm on my property for 10 years. This year the new leaves didn't come out normally. They were brown and never opened up. Can you tell me what is wrong with this palm and what I can do about it. Thank you so much!
Does your fertilizer include the micronutrients? Often problems with sago palms are nutrition related.
