    There seem to be many fruit trees that would do well in your area. These include: Indian Jujube, Citrus trees, Mango, Starfruit, and Guava to name a few.

    There is missing information. Please post a picture of the area if you can, tell us how much sun it gets and include where you live. Are you interested in large evergreens (30ft) or evergreen groundcovers? An all evergreen landscape has a monotonous look. Is your primary motivation low maintenance or a privacy hedge or something else? All of this is very helpful in making suggestions. thank you

    Evergreen shrubs would be a good option for something that will look good in winter. Choose species and varieties that do well in zone 5, and plant them as soon as possible.
