House is on the edge of a pine forest. Acidic soil and more shade than sun but plenty water. Live in SA, Western Cape, frost free. Need a lawn or something resembling a lawn, that will grow under these conditions, please?
Mosses are often a good option for an acidic, moist area with a lot of shade. They can be made into lawns, often with the help of a brick path or patio:

Here are some ideas for shade ground covers, which can be used in place of a lawn. I am not sure which of these are available in South Africa.

Which fruit trees can be grown in central India (Madhya Pradesh)??
There seem to be many fruit trees that would do well in your area. These include: Indian Jujube, Citrus trees, Mango, Starfruit, and Guava to name a few.
Dear Sir/Ma'am, I am looking for perennial flowers that are primarily drought tolerant, and do not need a lot of sunlight. I would appreciate any recommendations you can make. Thank You, David Jensen
Finding drought tolerant perennials for shade can be a bit of a challenge, however I believe this article should give you a few good suggestions: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/special/xeriscape/drought-tolerant-perennials.htm
Do you have any landscaping ideas with evergreens?
There is missing information. Please post a picture of the area if you can, tell us how much sun it gets and include where you live. Are you interested in large evergreens (30ft) or evergreen groundcovers? An all evergreen landscape has a monotonous look. Is your primary motivation low maintenance or a privacy hedge or something else? All of this is very helpful in making suggestions. thank you
Ground cover should be low maintenance and use little water. I have two lawn areas in front of my home which are about 10'x12'. The lawn is gone now due to the drought. I would like to remove the lawn and plant a ground cover which will not use a lot of water. Can you tell me what type of ground cover is low maintenance and uses very little water. I live in San Carlos CA. zip: 94070 25 south of S.F. Thank you for your help. Phil Gaal
One of my favorites is creeping time. There are many more options to choose from though. This article will give you more ideas: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/special/xeriscape/drought-tolerant-ground-covers.htm
What can I grow at this time of year ?
I wouldn't be able to give you a good answer unless I knew your climate zone. If you can include this, then I will be more than happy to help.
hi. i have a patch of earth about eight feet long and three feet wide where weedy plants were pulled up. it's right outside a front window in the front yard and i'd like to put something there now that will look nice over the winter and continue to live and thrive after the winter. i don't want to spend much if possible. any suggestions?
Evergreen shrubs would be a good option for something that will look good in winter. Choose species and varieties that do well in zone 5, and plant them as soon as possible.

If you don't mind waiting until spring, there are many types of bulbs that can be planted in fall and will bloom in spring, such as tulips:
