We have decided for replace the bark on some of our borders due our rescue dogs eating them all ! ( and the weeds of course ) with some fast growing evergreen ground cover We saw these mentioned on a UK site. Are any of them faster growing / spreading than others ? Any one of them recommended than another ? Best uk supplier of ground cover cheers 1) Creeping Thyme 2) English Ivy 3) Creeping Myrtle 4) Japanese Spurge 5) Creeping Phlox 6) Black Mondo Grass 7) Angelina Stonecrop 8) Spotted Dead Nettle 9) Lenten Rose 10) Coral Bells 11) Spindle 12) Creeping Jenny 13) Perennial Candytuft 14) Rock Rose 15) Heather 16) Elephants Ears 17) Thrift 18) Moutain Pride 19) Dalmation Cranesbill 20) Aubretia 21) Woolly Rock Jasmine 22) Polypody Fern 23) Horned Pansy
For a shady area, Japanese spurge, coral bells, and Lenten rose would work. However the coral bells and Lenten rose are slow growing. For sun, creeping thyme, Angelina stonecrop, perennial candytuft, and creeping phlox are good. Here is more:

I’m in ENC and we are still having cool nights of low 40s but day time temps of 70 or higher. Would it ok to go ahead and plant the seeds now? Or wait until the 40s have past?
You should be past the last frost date for your zone 8, so most plants can be seeded now. Here is more:

Hello, I’m after an idea of a plant to put in our front yard instead of a fence. Around waist high, in full sunlight, and after something that is a full plant and will fill space. Thankyou
