We have just found this plant on our lawn....has anyone an idea of what it is? Thanks
I have a small cluster of bulbs in my garden that produces grass like shoots that grow to about four feet then flower and produce purple and pink type bells that sway in the wind and are extremely pretty all summer. What is it called? I am too old at 92 to produce a photo. The question is above
I have a plant with leaves tall spiky and slim. The tuberous root resembles a large flat spider and instructions were to plant it flat. The flowers as yet not seen in three years should be tall similar and similar to a bottle plant. Hope you can recognise it
Could you include a picture of as many parts of the plant as you can? This would help me to help you identify the plant in question.
Found in a bouquet? Wondering what fruit this is
My friend has a plant growing in his garden and wishes to know what it is. I have searched the web and cannot find it. It is white, small somewhat like a buttercup but with longer stamens and a black/purple pattern on its petals. The small leaves are shaped like an oak leaf.It only grows a few inches tall but has a creeping habit. Can you identify it for us? We presume it is probably a wild flower or a weed. Thank you. Judith Shaw.
Anemone, or wind flower, perennial, herbaceous plant of genus Anemone, family Ranunculaceae.
I caught it from seed several years ago the fruit was round like a grape. Purple and very sweet
It is hard to say from the photo. It is definitely not a grape. That is certain. Without a fruit, or flower it resembles many different plants. Can you describe the seeds inside, or possibly find a fruit to photograph?
This plant (pictures attached) reseeds itself readily in the gravel and shade of the north side of my house. I love it, but I would like to know its species and common name if you can please. Thank you.
Silene is a genus of flowering plants in the family Caryophyllaceae. Containing approximately 700 species, it is the largest genus in the family. I won't be able to give you a species. It is beautiful and looks lovely in your garden.
