These yellow/black leaf markings have appeared on my young pear tree overnight. Any help identifying / treting the problem would be appreciated.
This is common with nutrient burn. If the tree has been fed, recently, it may have been too much or improperly balanced.
If there has been no feeding recently, I would say that overwatering could be an issue. This will not appear overnight, however.

We planted a chanticleer pear tree on my front lawn in honour of my mom in April 2013. It is not thriving and has hardly grown. I realized the whole area around half the tree has a seriously large ant colony living (and working!) What do you suggest I do?
Ants can be a huge problem, especially if a large colony is living among the roots.

.I am planning on planting an allee/avenue of Glen’s Form pyrus trees into our garden and have been searching everywhere online how far to plant them. I would like them to create a canopy in the center where the touch a bit...would 10 feet apart be ok? 8 feet? Thank you!!!
Their spread would indicate that they can be planted about 10 feet apart for the best and healthiest overlap.
