Q.Tree roots surrounded by ant infestation
We planted a chanticleer pear tree on my front lawn in honour of my mom in April 2013.
It is not thriving and has hardly grown.
I realized the whole area around half the tree has a seriously large ant colony living (and working!)
What do you suggest I do?

Ants can be a huge problem, especially if a large colony is living among the roots.
