My indoor palm has scale bug (found info on your site) and am treating it by washing with mild soapy water. My question is, will the scale bug affect the other plants I have in my house, some are right beside the palm? Thank you.
They can affect nearby plants so you may want to go ahead and treat all of them. Neem oil is an effective treatment as well. Here more information: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/problems/pests/neem-oil-uses.htm
I have got a palm tree which has large stalks and a couple of their leaves went brown so I pulled them off and it opened the top of the stalk slightly and I could see like a brown marrow. There is a very bad smell coming from the plant now and I wondered if there was anything I could give the plant to kill the smell? Apart from the smell, the plant is perfect. Any suggestions?
The bad smell is likely root rot, likely from overwatering.
Unfortunately it may be a problem that will cause the death of the plant.
Here is a link with more information.
We have fern growing out of trunk of pindo palm.
From my research this appears to be a naturally occurring and is not damaging to the Palms.
If you wish to remove them, you should be able to carefully lift the ferns from the palm.

Severe heat this summer 115+. Frond tips started turning yellow. Started watering more. Tree is getting worse. Too much water? Maybe needs fertilizer?
Your Palm may have been sunburned from the extreme sun and heat.
If possible shade the plant from the harshest sun of the day. If the Palm is well established it likely is accustom to the water fall. Do not overwater.
Mulching will help with moisture retention.
You should not try to fertilize into health. You should only fertilize in the growing season with a Palm fertilizer.
You can trim away lower branches that are aging or dead.

Hello. I have an issue with a Queen Palm (maybe two). Attached is a pic of one. Can you give me some info as to what is going on and how to correct? The bark just peels off and it is very soft underneath. Thanks in advance
Though there are a few diseases and fungus issues that are related to the Queen Palm I believe your palm is suffering from Termite damage.
I would call in a professional to inspect the Palms.
My Bismark Palm was transplanted about 2 years ago. It was large (45 gallon container) when transplanted and has been healthy and stable in the soil. It is approx 10 ft tall and about the same diameter now. It is exposed to the wind and today we noticed it is leaning a bit to one side and I can rock it back upright. It still appears healthy with multiple new fronds and healthy leaves. Should we attempt to stake it up to prevent further leaning? Remove any of the lower fronds, even though they are not yet brown/dead?
Palms like the Bismarck, can lose hold on the soil and become loose and floppy.
The Bismarck quite often needs to be staked.
A certified palm arborist may be needed to safely stake the palm, to avoid damage to the trunk.
You can contact your local County Extension Office for recommendations.
We have a 12" lady finger palm in our office. It has been neglected, and I am trying to revive it. The palms are all yellow and hard. Can I cut them off? If so, will they grow back. I have tried misting them, but they are not changing at all.
New fronds grow from the center out.
You can trim lower fronds as they age and become discolored.
If the new growth is dead, it may be that the trunk has died, this would cause all of the fronds to eventually turn brown and dry.
If it is just the tips of the fronds, this can be due to excess heat, sunlight or not watering the entire root system throughly.
If you see no new growth, your plant may have perished.
