I am replacing the landscaping across the front of my home. The area I wanbt to plant knock out roses is shady and does not get much Sun. How will these roses do in a shady area?
They will not bloom well and will probably get fungal diseases. They need 6 to 8 hours of sun a day. Better to pick shade loving plants for that area and find a sunny spot for the roses. Hydrangeas are all the rage right now and some varieties do well shade. Just be sure you get the kind that bloom on new wood so you don't have to worry about late frosts or pruning out last year's buds.

Landscaper cut my rose bush down to about 10 inches. Will it come back? What can I do to winterize it?
While spring would have been a better time for a deep prune, your rose bush should come back fine, especially if you've already had a couple of freezes to set it into dormancy.
Here are tips for winterizing:

Hello I live in northern Virginia and my knockout rose bush leaves have white spots and holes. What can do to fix this. Please see attached photos. Thank you, please reply back at maritime86@gmail.com
The photos look like rose slug damage. You can control those with horticultural oils or insecticidal soaps. Although they look like a caterpillar they are not, so Bt is not effective as a treatment.
Rose bush was crushed during a wind storm by the lean-to set up to protect it. Should I leave it alone until Spring?
Yes, you need to clean up broken branches. Here is how:

Is it necessary to take them out of the containers and place them in the ground. I have clay soil where I live. Digging to the proper depth would be labor intensive. I bought them discounted last year and planted them in pots. Where I have them gets lots of sunlight all day long.
Yes, they do fine in containers as long as they are large enough to accommodate the rootballs. Here is more:
