I am replacing the landscaping across the front of my home. The area I wanbt to plant knock out roses is shady and does not get much Sun. How will these roses do in a shady area?

They will not bloom well and will probably get fungal diseases. They need 6 to 8 hours of sun a day. Better to pick shade loving plants for that area and find a sunny spot for the roses. Hydrangeas are all the rage right now and some varieties do well shade. Just be sure you get the kind that bloom on new wood so you don't have to worry about late frosts or pruning out last year's buds.
