I live in Florida and a year ago I bought a night flowering Jasmin which is growing beautifully but has no buds or flowers! I have fertilized and it gets water...it is in a sunny and shady spot in a sheltered corner of a court yard.....do you have any suggestions please?
You may be over fertilizing and actually inhibiting flowering.
Excess nitrogen will give you lots of green leaves and little or no flowering.
Bone Meal can boost the phosphorous levels and promote flowering.

I have had this jasmine for ten years,, this is the first year it hasn't bloomed and the new leaves are curling up and have brown spots it get water and some fertilizer, could you tell me what might be going on??
It's possible that the soil has a build up of excess fertilizer. This could be inhibiting the flowering and be causing the leaves to show some browning. The edges of the leaves are generally in indicator of excess fertilizer.
Leaf Blight is also a possible diagnosis, spots on leaves, browning of leaves and curling of leaves can be signs of this disease.
Diseased parts of the plant should be removed from the plant and treat the plant with a fungicide containing copper or sulphur.

I have jasmine vine and mixed in with them I have grass and weeds I can't get rid of. How can I do them.
The only safe way to remove the weeds is to pull them by hand.
Boiling water is a safer organic method to use on Crabgrass.

My son has inherited a garden with an old summer flowering jasmine. The bottom half is thick woody stems with no leaves & they are twisted in & out of each other. The top half is leafy, has flowers at the moment and is covering the top half of a wall/fence. Once it's finished flowering, should I cut it back hard into the old wood & risk new growth or just prune back to where the fresh growth starts? To be honest the bottom half is bare & not very attractive to look at! Would it be better to cut back to the ground and re-plant? Sue Ellis, Oxford PS. I'm sorry I didn't take a photo.....
Most flowering vines lose their bottom leaves when the leaves on the bottom don't get sunlight. Cut back to around 12 inches in late fall. When the new leaves come back, make sure to thin out the vine so it doesn't block the bottom part of the plant from the sun.
I have some jasmine groundcover that is growing in my azaleas. At on time the groundcover grew around the area of the azaleas with me trying to control it. But now I have removed the groundcover a couple of years ago. But there is ground cover growing in the shrubs. I try pulling (breaking) it out/off, but no luck. Help!
You will need to carefully remove the vine from your plants.
A small garden shears or garden scissors may help with this task.
