You should lift the Jade plant from the soil and carefully remove all the contaminated soil and grubs from around the roots of the plant.
Keep this soil together and dispose of, do not compost it.
Wash the pot with a diluted bleach mixture to clean it.
Repot the Jade plant with new potting soil as per the article below.

I have an OLD jade plant (more than 50 years). A couple of months ago, it developed a white mold (looked like fuzz). I read that you should remove the affected leaves since the whole plant wasn't affected. It did ok for a while now, it is dropping branches and leaves. I moved it to a window where it gets plenty of bright light. I can't tell if the problem I have now is not enough water. Please help! I don't want it to die as it is not mine (was asked to care for it). Thanks
Sounds like a Mealy Bug infestation.

the jade tree is about 30 yrs old . the trunk has gotten long and is out of proportion . would like to shorten it thanks
If you intend to root the top in this fashion, then it is quite possible that it will work. It will destroy the shape of the root mass of the original, but it will shoot new sprouts at the bottom and be more "bushy".

You mention in the article about Jade and powdery mildew a mixture of vinegar and baking soda. Is it 1 to 1 or? Thank you
There are many safe ways to control powdery mildew that will not harm your plants. Neem oil works. It won't hurt your plants, and keeps mildew, and insects off. Here are more ways:

If you want to use a leaf- does that need to dry out first for a week or so like with the stem version? It’s not mentioned. Thank you
I have a huge Jade plant that I watered on day with a lot of water and then put outside in the sun for hours. It's now losing so many leaves and they all look wrinkly with slight brown color.
You will have to let it dry out almost completely, and keep it out of the sun. The only way for it to recover is to not let it get exposed to either of those conditions, or to at least acclimate it to the sun slowly. Most indoor varieties are a little more sensitive to full sun until they are acclimated properly, and slowly.
