    It looks like it was damaged at one time, and it is now dying off.

    Likely, the tree needs a little more root room. I would pot it up. This doesn't look to be a dwarf cultivar, so it will need plenty of room to grow. Changing to a larger container, and adding a mix of 25 percent compost with 75 percent potting soil will help the tree have plenty of room, and food to continue.

    Thank you for replying to my fig question! I actually damaged the leaf shown by trying to cut out a bad section but I will try reporting it. When I first got the cutting it was only a couple of inches tall and then the yellowing and curling happened recently. Thanks again for responding!
