Here's the photo of my dogwood. It produces only 2 petals. Is it sick or is this not a dogwood at all or a different specie. please help as i cant find any answer online.
This is one of the stranger mutations that I have seen. To be certain, apply dolomitic lime and wettable sulfur to the area. It will not hurt the tree, and will prevent any fungal infections, and pH swings. I answered the previous question, and it still stands... This is unique, and should be enjoyed as such, should it continues to express these traits permanently.
The rabbits jumped on to my dogwoods, broke them and ate all the foliage. Will my trees come back? Or will they be bushes? They are just twigs sticking out of ground now. They were like 3 weeks old doing awesome... Thanks, Pamela
It sounds like they ate the whole thing! I would protect the remaining tree and give them time. Waiting it out is the only real option.

My 5 year old dogwood has always been beautiful with no problems. This year while all my other dogwoods are doing great, this one has no leaves and only little buds. There is no sign of fungus and all the branches are live and flexable, what could be the reason.
Many fungal infections will show no other signs, but deformed, or late growth. I would recommend applying dolomitic lime and wettable sulfur around the tree. This can help kill off anything in the soil, and can help the tree recover on its own. Has it been excessively wet lately?
It has been excessively wet of late, someone else mentioned that too. Just planted annuals around the tree , will they be affected?
After the dogwood blooms the flowers dry up. Do I leave them on or take them off?
They will fall off naturally. There will be no need to help them. This article will give you more information on the care of these: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/ornamental/trees/dogwood/caring-dogwood-trees.htm
Planted tree year ago, did great and started out good this year. Started to notice that the leaves would turn brown from the tips and die. After a week of this I pull back pine straw and found a hole down to the roots, moles maybe, not sure. I filled hole good, add mulch and packed well. Tree is still living and sprouting new growth, but each new growth l, leaves continuesl to die starting with the tip
I suspect root damage from golphers or voles, not moles. Or root rot from excess lawn irrigation.
Water deficit and severe nutrient deficiencies are also possible due to the location in turf.
Trees in turf are problematic. Water management is difficult. The turf takes the bulk of the water and nutrients and the trees suffer.
I planted a dogwood tree this spring and it was blooming nicely. Now all the leaves are brown and falling off. I followed the instructions on the tree. It is planted so that it gets morning and midmorning sun. Technically it is not planted next to other trees, but my neighbors both on the side of my home and the back of my home (next to the fence where my tree is) have trees up against my fence. I bought a drip bag and filled it up approximately every three days when I planted it. I also placed a spike fertilizer in the ground around it (not on top of the new roots). It has been somewhat rainier this spring (right now we are experiencing TS Cindy so it has rained every day for a week). Our soil is somewhat sandy but I did use a soil made for flowering trees and shrubs. Is there any hope for this tree? Sorry I can't upload a photo as my phone is not cooperating.
Dogwoods are susceptible to many fungal diseases, especially during wet periods. This article may help

So a few years back, my grandparents bought a dogwood at Lowes, it was just like any other then since it was summer but in the fall, fruit form on the dogwood. These fruits are small- about the size of cherries and look kind of spiney but arent. They are pink to light red in color and the meat is like that of a peach. The flavor and why we desperately want to learn what this is, is indescribable. It's like a peach met and apple and a mango and had a very, very sweet baby. It's wonderful and we fight over these fruit every year. But it only seems to fruit in the fall. In the spring and summer it's indistinguishable against any other dogwood. It's got the same flowers but grows in a long and tall way instead of our others more tree like way. But in the fall, the fruit form and we really need to reduce the war that happens for these fruit, we NEED more of this tree. Please help if you can, Hedera
Probably Kousa dogwood.
