How hot can corn grow in? We are 103-106 degrees here. I water corn every day in this heat, or every other day when it is in the 90's. I have given it more compost, but it just shrunk up like dried out, like it never gets water. I am afraid its gone, and I just don't know why. If I could find out what is the problem, so I can try again, or this will happen again. Please help me to figure out what I did so wrong. This corn was doing great for the first 2 month, growing to slow, however.
60 to 95 degrees F is optimum weather for growing Sweet Corn.
It can help to grow a variety of Sweet Corn suitable for your region.
Your local County Extension Office can help you make variety selections.

Our corn grew well, one to two ears on each stalk, but at maturity the corn kernels were only mature a third to half way up the cob. The rest were tiny nubs that did not grow. Do you know why?
The corn kernels that don't receive pollen will not fill out.
This is a lack of pollination issue.

Why do corn plants turn to straw when you have watered them every day?
They may not be getting enough water. Corn has very shallow roots and needs lots of water during its active growth, especially in temps as high as you are experiencing. Typically, the garden needs about an inch or so of water each week. It is a good idea to water deeply (for about 20 min. or so) every other day or two, depending on the weather. Once temps reach 85 F and up, daily watering is often necessary.
I froze my leftover seeds from this past spring. Can I still plant them now?
Not sure, since they were frozen, but it's worth rolling the dice for fresh corn! It depends on the zone you're in (check to see here: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/planting-zones/usda-planting-zone-map.htm ), and you probably won't be able to "stagger plant" (planting a few seeds each week so that they ripen successively over time). If you're in a warmer climate you can plant up through about the first week of July, so get them in the ground NOW :-) This article will give you some tips: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/edible/vegetables/corn/how-to-grow-corn.htm
If you live in a hardiness zone where fall can get pretty cool (late September, early October) and winter is harsh, try growing corn indoors (no, seriously) -- this article will give you some tips on how: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/edible/vegetables/corn/tips-for-growing-corn-indoors.htm
Will sweet corn grow in straw bales?
Sweet Corn is not recommended for planting in straw bales.
It simply grows too tall and my research shows that very few ears are produced with this growing method.
Sweet Corn is one for the regular garden.

I planted sweet corn and popcorn 20 days back and sprayed medicine to reduce weeds. After spraying, the leaves are turning yellow and it seems that the plants are not healthy anymore. They are now 5-6 inches tall. Please tell me how can I make the plants healthy again?
I would read the label of the chemical that you used and verify the concentration and application method.
Yellowing leaves can be due to several reasons.
These articles will help you pinpoint the cause.
