Q.corn plants

Anonymous added on June 19, 2016 | Answered

How hot can corn grow in? We are 103-106 degrees here. I water corn every day in this heat, or every other day when it is in the 90’s. I have given it more compost, but it just shrunk up like dried out, like it never gets water. I am afraid its gone, and I just don’t know why. If I could find out what is the problem, so I can try again, or this will happen again. Please help me to figure out what I did so wrong. This corn was doing great for the first 2 month, growing to slow, however.

60 to 95 degrees F is optimum weather for growing Sweet Corn.
It can help to grow a variety of Sweet Corn suitable for your region.
Your local County Extension Office can help you make variety selections.
