I purchased a citronella plant that was doing quite well until it was knocked over during a storm. I have since repotted it and tied it to a stake, but it still seems very droopy. Is there anything I can do to nurse it back to health?
The roots were likely disturbed and you can treat it like it was a new plant.
Keep the soil moist but avoid dry or soggy soil.
You can prune it back to help the size and recovery.
You can also easily propagate the cuttings.
I asked to see more information on my citronella plant and the article that pulled up said it really doesn't do anything, it doesn't really repel mosquitoes. If that's true then why do you guys advertise that it's one of the top two plants to get to repel mosquitoes? I'm not an upset customer I just really want to know if I should buy a second one or not for the purpose of repelling mosquito?
The leaves of a Citronella plant can be crushed and rubbed against your skin.

I bought a citronella plant from Wal-Mart, and re-poted it when i got home. It was doing very well, but now it's leaves are turning brown and drying up.It isn't happening all over the plant, but I'm concerned it will be soon. I do water it with filtered water, and have it in very rich soil. I live in Florida, and the plant is on my front patio. Is it receiving to much sun and burning? HELP!!
Is it only drying up on the side that's getting sun? Citronella plants like full sun, so sunburn isn't likely, but it is possible. How much are you watering it? Citronella is somewhat drought tolerant, so too much water might be waterlogging it.

I have a citranela plant that yellowing like it is dying. What do you think is the problem. It has been kept outside. was beautiful when we got it now not so much.
Yellowing leaves can be due to watering issues; too much or too little, pests or disease.
Check the soil. Container plants need daily water and even twice a day when temperatures are above 85 degrees F.
