Do I need to bring in my citronella plant in for the winter? Also, how big does my pot need to be? I also have a moses-in-a-boat plant and don't know if I have to bring it in either.

I have a Citronella plant I got it in Florida. I live in New York. It has been growing nicely over the summer but now it seems to have cone like ends on it. Are they seeds? I have up loaded pictures.
I'm sorry we didn't receive your images.
Yes, the Pelargoniums will produce seeds.
You can harvest the seeds and dry them.
You can sow the seeds in autumn by sprinkling them on a tray of good potting mix. Cover with a fine layer of light sand and mist to moisten.
Keep the tray moist and in a shady location. They should germinate in 2 to 3 weeks.
Propagating by cuttings is also a very easy way to produce more plants.
Can I root a Citronella plant?
Yes, you can easily take cuttings and root them for new plants.

How often and how much water for an indoor citronella plant? And the same on a sweet basil plant? Thank you
Make sure they are potted in well draining soil. Water well so soil is moist but not soggy.
They will need at least 6 hours of bright sunlight daily.

Can I share my citronella plant with my mother-in-law and others? If so, please tell how to go about separating the plant. Also, can it be potted in about 1 ft deep and maybe 18 inch wide container? Would it be good to add river rock to bottom to ensure good drainage and use moisture control soil?
To make more Citronella plants, you can start new ones from cuttings.
You will need to start these in smaller pots.
The pot size you mention, would be for a more full size plant.
