Why do my figs not fully develop and ripen? The tree is about seven feet tall, very green and has a multitude of small figs. It is located in a well drained area and gets lots of sun.
Here is an article that will help you that explains why figs do not ripen:

Happy gardening!
I planted a tiny fig tree (brown turkey) a couple of months ago and it seems to be growing ok except the lowest leaf is covered with brown specks. Earlier a leaf also did this and soon fell off. Do I need to do something?
If it is just brown spots, then this is most likely fig rust, caused by a fungus. If you treat the plant with neem oil, it will correct the rust issue. Here is more information on both:

I have a 5-6 year old Brown Turkey fig, which seems very healthy but when it fruits they never get to ripening stage, just 1 or 2 figs may reach maturity. My question is, I wonder if any of the many branches could be ones that have come from below the graft. I never noticed this and now I can't get below the root of the tree to actually see, as it is so tight. Would it make a difference to the fruiting? I intend to give it some liquid lime this year, as perhaps it is lacking. I so love this fig, as I adore homemade fig jam. If you have any advice, I would be very grateful.

I planted a very small fig tree - brown turkey - 2 years ago. It has made good growth but not flowered/fruited. It is planted confined by paving slabs next to a wall in a sunny position.
It may be a nitrogen/phosphorus imbalance in the soil. Too much nitrogen and too little phosphorus can result in little to no blooming, which means no fruit. This article should help: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/edible/fruits/figs/fig-tree-is-producing-fruit.htm
I bought a brown turkey standard fig tree (figella is her name) this spring. It is growing in a pot and is doing very well. She has produced many fruits that at present are small, green and hard. 1. Should I prune the tree in autumn? It is getting quite big for my greenhouse. (5 wide x 10 long x 6.6 high) 2. Will the fruits ripen next year? 3. Should I try to get the tree indoors for the winter? Or should I use bubble wrap or garden fleece for the winter, or a greenhouse heater? Thanks for your help.

We have a small Brown Turkey fig we need to repot in a larger pot. When is best time to do this? Also, we always had tomato seed Cherry Belle from Dobies, but they cannot supply in future. Can you advise another supplier?
I would repot the tree in late winter or early spring while the tree is still dormant, but you can repot figs at any time if you are careful.
As for the seeds, I would recommend doing a local search in your area to find any retailers or even mail-order catalogs. Your local garden center may also be able to help. You can also check out eBay. In my experience, eBay is actually a great place to find unusual plants/seeds. Just check the feedback on the seller before you buy.
How much room, width and high do fig trees grow?
A Brown Turkey Fig Tree will grow 15 to 25 feet tall and wide with a moderate growth rate.
