I recently planted a Brown Turkey fig tree in my backyard, not really sure what the soil pH happens to be. It does have some red clay dirt in the area. I've noticed the leaves have black spots on them now and would like to know what I need to do.
This is actually a sign of fungus. Treat the plant with a fungicide and this should clear it up.
I live in North Carolina and have a Brown Turkey fig bush I planted 3 years ago. This year is bore no fruit. What could be the causes?
There are actually various reasons, as to why the tree may not be producing, and pinpointing the cause is the only way to fix the issue. This article should help you with that: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/edible/fruits/figs/fig-tree-is-producing-fruit.htm
What causes the leaves on my Brown Turkey fig to yellow?
Yellow leaves can be caused by both under and over watering. How much water do you currently provide to it? This article may have additional causes that can help as well: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/edible/fruits/figs/fig-with-yellow-leaves.htm
My fig tree Brown Turkey did not produce new leaves this spring. It was planted last year, healthy with some figs on it. Went dormant, then did not produce leaves this spring. Has just started with a few leaves about two inches above ground, but rest of tree still bears about 4 ft stalk with two main trunks. Should I prune it back? If so, how far and when?
I would first check to see if the upper branches are dead. If the upper branches are brittle, they are dead and should be pruned back to where they are pliable and green. If they are pliable, they are still alive and may grow their leaves back here in a bit.
A newly planted tree often has a rough first year and is often the year it will most likely die or suffer damage. This is particularly true if you had unusually cold weather, which has been common for the past few years in the US.
Some of our fig trees on campus produces lots of figs but none of them mature. We think they are Brown Turkey. Any suggestions on what to do to help them mature?

My Brown Turkey fig is 2 years old. Lately, the leaves have become very thick with a sticky feeling. No bugs or scale and good growth and with good color. Leaves are sticky on top part. What is causing change in leaves?
Even if your not seeing insects the sticky substance, most likely honeydew, is suspicious.
Spray with Neem Oil to retain the health of your Fig.

Why are my figs turning brown at very small size and falling off? Leaves are turning brown also. I have Brown Turkey figs growing in large containers. I water every day, as we are having a dry spell. The leaves are turning yellow and it's only August. The figs are ripening at 1/2 to 1 inch size and then dropping. This is the first year I have had this problem.
